About Me

I am a self-taught photographer and makeup artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up in a family where creativity was second nature, I gravitated toward the visual arts—sketching, makeup, and photography became my earliest outlets. My family is big on photos—both of my grandmothers and my parents kept their houses filled with albums packed to the brim. Some held faces I knew, others were relatives I’d never met, but every album was a way to connect to our history. From the few VCR recordings to stacks of disposable camera prints, those collections shaped how I saw storytelling and sparked my love for photography. In 2019, I decided to dedicate more time to that passion and bought my first camera, a Sony Alpha 6000 with its kit lens. At first, I planned to film makeup tutorials for YouTube. Instead, I started taking self-portraits and experimenting with macro shots of my paintings and fabrics. The results reminded me just how much I loved the art form, and I haven’t stopped since. Over time, I’ve built a portfolio that blends digital and film photography, capturing the people and moments closest to me in Mississippi, Georgia, and wherever else life takes me.
